- A $160,000 salary in Huntsville, Alabama, would need to be increased to approximately $285,000 — $290,000 to maintain a similar standard of living in San Francisco, California.

- Willing to accept significantly reduced salary for international work opportunities or opportunities I find interesting or fulfilling
- Willing to live in places others might consider dangerous or undesirable, due to my adventurous spirit
- Perfectly amenable to living in remote, isolated locations with little or no opportunities for social interaction (e.g. remote outposts)

- 4/8 work schedule
- 32 hour work week, 8 hours per day, 4 days per week (every Friday—Sunday off)
- If 40 is a requirement, then I need enough PTO to work 32 in practice

- At least part-time remote hybrid; prefer fully remote
- Quiet work environment is essential
